When you’re doing outdoor photography, relying on available sunlight, luck of timing can be your best friend, if you have your gear and ready to capture the magic. One of the things I enjoy most is transforming mundane scenes into something compelling to look at. My idea of a great image is one that, very simply, draws a viewer in. I came upon this wooden pallet, long ago discarded in the woods along the farm, when parting clouds allowed the sun to illuminate the pallet in the most compelling way. I love the mystery that this image evokes, and would add curiosity to any room, home or office wall.
